The Louisiana Waist Belt Plate featured here is made just as the originals were being made before the fall of New Orleans, Louisiana. Unlike the reproductions currently being offered these are not cast brass but actually made by the stamping process used on original plates. Thus the pelicans, stars and wreath design of the brass belt plate is very crisp and clear. The plate is then lead filled and has the belt hooks on the back attached in the same manner as the original New Orleans Louisina Waist Belt Plates.
