Houston Depot Cartridge Box and Companion Single Billet Belt
This is the Houston Cartridge Box and Single Billet Companion Belt found in our Houston Accoutrements Set. The Cartridge Box is the our faithful copy of our he russet colored Houston Depot Cartridge Box has double belt loops. The large CS and ordnance department mark found on the original boxes are strikingly reproduced on our boxes. It is approximately .69 caliber.
The Single Billet Belt which is made of top grade russet colored leather has a 7/8 inch roller buckle on it. We have been asked for a set that includes the Houston Depot Cartridge Box, along with a Belt, a Bayonet Scabbard and a Cap Box that could be used as a set. This is the belt from that set. This Single Billet Belt is common and period correct for the time period.
Note our Complete Houston Set is NOT A KNOWN SET THAT THE HOUSTON DEPOT ISSUED. But is comprised of the Houston Cartridge Box and this russet Double Billet Belt, A Cap Box along with a Bayonet Scabbard that make good companions for the Houston Box. Again this was NOT AN ISSUED SET but is one offered for the convenience of our customers who have requested we offer a set with the Houston Box.
