These brogans were reputedly made by a shoemaker in Koeltztown, Missouri in 1860. The waxed flesh leather uppers have five brass eyelets and are sewn together and then fortified with rivets for reinforcement and durability. The soles are pegged and the heels are hand nailed with iron square cut nails as were the originals
